Ultra Bandmaster

$1,000 if provided a donor amp. Contact for ground up builds

Fender Bandmaster with Dumble Ultraphonix (UP) style mods from known schematics with further improvements applied to both channels. This includes complete re-voiceing of both channels. Metal Film resistors used throughout for extremely low noise (~1/10 the noise of Carbon Comps) and Sozo Blue Molded NextGen capacitors to retain the Blackface Fender character. Also includes a new, and significantly larger output transformer with impedance selection, along with resized filter capacitors for much tighter bass response and more headroom. Lastly, the vibrato has been completely rebuilt, to include the adjustments found in official Fender bulletins to fix ticking, and comes with a footswitch.

Clean Chords and Vibrato

Rhythm chords on the vibrato channel. The Sozo Blue caps keep the Blackface Fender character intact, while the larger output transformer and resized filter caps tighten up the low end and add headroom.

Lead with Guitar Volume Control

A simple blues line on the normal channel played four times. The first three change only the volume knob on the guitar, the last adds the BK Butler to push the frontend a little harder

Lead with Touch Dynamics

Another simple line on the normal channel played four times. Played twice on the neck pickup, followed by twice on the bridge pickup. First play for each is light touch, second is heavy touch.

Edge of Breakup

Normal channel with the volume pushed up to 7. Same lick using alternating neck and bridge pickups with the volume knob being rolled back across playthroughs.

Ultra Bassman

Fender Bassman with Dumble Ultraphonix (UP) style mods from known schematics with further improvements applied to both channels. The normal channel is designed to retain the clean Blackface Fender character these amps are famous for. The bass channel is completely redesigned with four gain stages allowing much higher gain than normal, but can be used at reasonable levels with the addition of a gain pot. Tone stack also has treble middle and bass with a push-pull pot for extra mids. All new lower noise resistors, Orange Drop Capacitors, and an Output Transformer with selectable impedance.

Touch Dynamics

A simple line on the Gain Channel played six times. Played three times on the neck pickup, followed by three on the bridge pickup. Each with increasing volume on the guitar and more aggressive pick attack

Power Chords

Power Chords played on the Gain Channel using both the neck and bridge pickup. This is using the gain at about a 7 so there is more on tap if you want it!
